On our walk. . . . . . . . . . . April 23, 2007
Pastor’s Message –
Then the angel showed me the
river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God
and the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of
the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its
fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for healing of the nations.
No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in
the city and his servants will serve Him. They will see his face, and his name
will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the
light of the lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them
light.
It’s been one week since the
extraordinary events of last Monday. We have all suffered a great deal with
that event. We all have tried to understand why and how could this happen? But,
now as we continue to try to gather our feelings together I think it is time
for us to look toward God to show us healing. In the reading above we see that
God is willing to heal all who come to him or why would he have the tree of
life bear leaves for just that. He will let us see his face and we will never
need light again because God will heal us and deliver light to us. He will heal
our hearts and souls and all we have to do is ask him and follow him. So, this
week continue to pay for the VT community, and all the communities that have
been touched by this event, but also pray for God to use the tree of life and
give us the light and heal us so we may know his love better.
God Bless
