Pastor’s Message –
While he was speaking, yet
another messenger came and said “Your sons and daughters were feasting and
drinking wine at the oldest bothers house when suddenly a mighty wind swept in
from the desert and struck the four
corners of the house. It collapsed, and I am the only one who escaped to tell
you!” A this Job got up and tore his robe and shaved
his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said “
Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord
gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.
I was going to tell you about
the wonderful weekend I had with those ten young ladies. The extraordinary time
I had watching them grow in Christ, but with the events of today at Virginia
Tech I think we need to be in prayer for those young people who were killed or
injured and their families. Job suffered through the loss of his sons and
daughters through a “natural” disaster. Those parents and families today
suffered the same loss through someone’s careless actions to purposely hurt
people, even people he didn’t know! The only thing I can say is that we, ALL,
need to be in prayer for the families and the entire VT community. For those
who would like or need to pray I will open
