Read James 1:5-8. 1:5
invites us to ask God for wisdom, so take a few moments to pray for God’s
wisdom. The verse also says God gives
without finding fault. How does it feel
to know that when you are asking God
to help that God will not find fault?

Read Proverbs 4:1-8.
In verse 7, the writer encourages us to give up whatever we need to in order to get

As you get ready for worship today, take time to prepare your heart to see God. Offer this prayer: “Living God, as we gather to worship you today, help me to encounter you, to truly worship you, to hear from you and to have my life changed by you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
