Christmas Eve Worship @ Antioch—5:30 PM
Christmas Open House at the Parsonage
Plan
to come by the Parsonage this afternoon.
The doors will be open and Joy and Andrew will have soup on the
stove and a fire in the fireplace all afternoon! Feel free to come by any time from approximately
12:30 PM until 6:00 PM. See you
there!
Christmas Eve Worship
Both
church communities are invited to gather for a candlelight Christmas Eve
Service at Antioch on Friday, December 24th at 5:30 PM. Come and bring your families for a time
to celebrate the birth of our Prince of Peace!
Alternative Christmas Giving
Buying
fair trade gifts or buying gifts from organizations that are committed to
helping provide skills and a living to individuals who have been the
victims of war, slavery or sexual exploitation is a great way to both find
unique and nice gifts for your friends and family this Christmas as well as
supporting some great causes. Here
are a couple of ideas!
Wonderfully Made (www.wonderfullymadejewelry.com): Beautiful
jewelry made by women who have been rescued from sexual exploitation.
Paper to Pearls (www.papertopearls.org): Incredible beaded jewelry made of
recycled materials in refugee camps in Uganda.
Ten Thousand Villages (www.tenthousandvillages.com). All fair trade gifts from all around the
world. They have an amazing
selection! Go online or visit the store
at 3201 West Cary Street Richmond, VA 23221 (804-358-5170).
Pastor
Andrew and his family have given and received gifts from all of these
organizations and have yet to be disappointed!
