the things about himself in all the scriptures” (Luke 24:13-34) and the disciples who had spent years following
Jesus needed the Holy Spirit to give them the power to live lives for God
(Luke 24:34-49). We too need the
Spirit to empower us to live for God, and we taking the month of July to
focus on how the Holy Spirit is active in and around us and how to seek
more of the Spirit in our lives.
Join us as we discover what it means to be “Clothed with Power from on High.” The Bridge Youth Ministry! The Bridge will be meeting Friday, August 5th 6:00 p.m at at Saint Paul
and Saint Andrew Episcopal Church in Kenbridge (512 S Broad St.) to help with The
Back to School Giveaway, eat pizza and watch the new movie: Soul Surfer – The

Opportunities! · Mark your calendars for August 6th and plan to be
at Saint Paul and Saint Andrew Episcopal Church in Kenbridge by 9:00 AM to
help with the school supply distribution.
We will need lots of hands to make sure everything runs
smoothly—hope to see you there! · United Methodist Volunteers In Mission (UMVIM)
teams are needed for tornado recovery projects in Pulaski and Washington counties. Currently
there are nine projects ready to proceed – five roof repair jobs and four
rebuilds. More projects will be added in the coming weeks. One team is
being formed to serve August 4-7.
If you are interested in serving in this area of need, talk to

Gleaning Network will be in the fields gleaning food for the hungry in our
community. We only receive notice a
day or two in advance, so if you
are interested in being notified when a gleaning opportunity arises, talk
